The Book “Ecology, Economy and Culture of the Mekong River Basin: From Kaeng Khut Khu to Pha Chan in the Flow of Changes”

The book records the stories of communities along the Mekong River, 25 sub-districts in 7 provinces of the Northeast (Isan) of Thailand since 2011 to May 2014. The book presents the knowledge of the communities related to the Mekong River; such as the knowledge of sub-ecosystem, natural resources, the importance of the Mekong River to folk ways of living, economy, the Mekong's social and cultural relations to the history and livelihood of the community. The book also collected the data related to policy and the impacts from hydropower dams in the Mekong region and collected the impacts of climate change affected the communities.
